We've all heard at least one. A nickname that was so cool, we wished it was ours. But, just how did they come up with it? Read on!
Steps
You should realize two things before you start. The first is that a nickname may stick with you for the rest of life, so don't make one you could regret. Second, old friends and your family may never use the nick name, so don't make one to impress them. It's for you!
Your nickname should be as much a part of you as any one of your limbs, so think very carefully about yourself. Write down a list consisting of;
Your favorite song, your favorite thing to do, your favorite animal, your most cherished item, your favorite car, your favorite color, and your favorite dessert.
Look at the list and decide if there are things that have no potential, cross these things out. If there are any names that pop in your head because of an item, write them next to it.
Think about what you have learned and found, you should have a few nickname ideas. Decide which best fits you and try it out with the people you meet. Don't forget to ask people what they think. It's even better if you ask for suggestions! Have fun!
Tips
Be humorous, but appropriate.
Don't copy a new movie just because it's popular now. You will look like a sheep in it's flock. (Your nickname could be Lamb-chops, or Bo-peep!)
Don't forget to include those close to you in the fun. Give your partner a nickname, or your friend a nickname, etc.
It may be easier to get your friends to do the work for you, but only if you trust them.
