Make Hard Chocolate for Ice Cream Topping

You know the old fashioned soft ice cream in a cone that gets dipped in chocolate and turns hard? Now you can make your own at home! It's really simple and delicious.

Ingredients

2 oz of chocolate, milk or dark.

and a bowl

Steps

  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 20 second intervals until it is almost melted.
  2. Stir until smooth.
  3. Scoop out ice cream onto ice cream cone.
  4. Dip the ice cream in the melted chocolate and freeze until it hardens
  5. Enjoy!

Tips

  • Scoop the ice cream while the chocolate is in the microwave.
  • Experiment. You can have it the traditional way, or chocolate ice cream with hardened white chocolate. Maybe both!

Warnings

  • It can get very messy if you screw up. Always have a few paper towels ready.
