Steps
Approach them at the right time. For instance, don't talk to them when they've just found out a relative has has died or they've been demoted or something.
Get them relaxed. Make them tea and have a little small talk before you break the news.
Watch them gasp in horror. Give them a little time to process the news before you talk again.
Tell them how it happened. Don't make excuses. What you did, you have to accept.
Accept the consequences. Accept the fact if they throw you out, or count your blessings if they don't throw you out.
Tips
If you think your parents may take the news too badly and might try to harm you, have someone else there to ensure they don't, and if they do, that you and your child will get medical attention before you die and/or the child dies.
