Get Comfortable With a New Parent

Hey your mom or dad is getting married with someone else but how can you deal with this? Your going off with someone you don't know so well.Here are some tips to help you!

Steps

1. Get used to her/him maybe you guys will have something in common don't hesitate. It's always kinda of fun to meet someone new.
2. Try feeling comfortable with them try playing a game or go out and have some fun just the two of you.
3. Ask some questions about her/him try learn a little more about each other.
4. Don't get mad if your dad/mom is always talking or hanging out with your new parent,there also trying to learn more about there new love.
5. If you feel uncomfortable with your stepmom/dad, try talking with your mom/dad. This will help, but you still don't feel comfortable with them get some free time.Hang out with your friends to get things off your mine or try to talk with a counselor at your school or near by
6. If your stepmom/dad won't bother to talk to you try starting a conversation. If that doesn't work, try sending a note or again talk with your mom/dad to say you wanna know them better It might be a good way to start.
