Celebrating the Golden Anniversary is the hallmark of many marriages. Here are some ideas and suggestions on how to celebrate 50 years of marriage.

Traditional Golden Anniversary gifts consist of anything with gold. Gold is the symbol for this anniversary. Celebrate by purchasing a new set of wedding rings or have the diamonds reset into new rings, if the old bands are worn.

Purchase gold jewelery of any type. This could include costume jewelery, watches, watch fobs or cigarette case.
Purchase champagne glasses trimmed in gold.

Purchase a gold frame and include a family photograph. Sometimes nostalgic gifts are the best.

Send out invitations early for a very formal party. Address and mail the invitations using your best penmanship. Use blue or black ink to address the invitations.
Use gold as a theme for the party. Plan on using gold trimmed plates, glasses, napkins and tablecloths.
Use yellow flowers such as roses to enhance the golden theme.
